The Campsite is primarily for families (with children aged under 17) and young people to bring their own caravans and tents on a self-catering basis. Families with older children are advised to indicate their wish to attend as Residents if all pitches have been allocated to young families.
Campers may arrive from 11.00 on Monday to set up camp. Morning and afternoon drinks are included along with the Friday evening family meal. All other meals can be obtained in two ways – ordered in advance for QMH Dining Hall or pay at the counter on the day at Graze Cafe in Faccenda Centre (see Meals page for more details).
The campsite is located on the University first teams’s rugby field (see 34 on HA Campus Map) so consequently fire pits and anything similar must not be used to prevent damage to the grass. All Bible School facilities are located nearby.
Pitches are on level grass with laundry, showers and toilets nearby. There are water and waste disposal points and limited fridge and freezer space. A shop is located in the Faccenda Centre also Newport, with its shops and supermarkets is 2.5 miles away. To see a map displaying facilities available in 2016 click here.
What is a ‘Pitch’?
One tent/caravan/campervan that accommodates the immediate family group and if needed an additional one or two man sleeper tent no greater than 160cm x 340cm. Anything larger than this combination is charged as two pitches.
